Ecotech battery backup!!!!!!! I'm so ****ed!!!!!
Hi everyone, well I ordered a battery backup for my mp40's. Ive been so excited to get this to complete my setup. I finally got it today and it was missing the power cable to plug into the wall to keep the pack charging, I can't believe it I mean I bought this for power and I can't even power it up. I contacted ecotech and they said they have had alot of these problems with parts missing. They said they r mailing one out ASAP. All in all I'm just disappointed!!!!!!!

I dont see why you are THAT dissapointed. They are correcting the problem, no? I would be stoked that they were nice and actually gave a crap about their customers.
Just my $.02. I can imagine your frustration, but what if they told you to go kick rocks...you would be much more dissapointed. |

While it is annoying, it does happen. I'm sure they are addressing the increase in missing parts since they are very customer oriented. I've had similar problems that take the fun out of getting a new "toy" , but before you know it the part arrives

You got a product with a part missing which is being resolved ASAP. Is it that much of a disappointment to not get to "play" with a battery backup As long as you don't lose power between now and when the power cord comes I'd say you'll be OK. Stuff happens but so long as you get good support that's all you can ask for IMHO.

Just a word of caution.
When using the mp40 and the backup power, make sure the mp40 gets some water rippling action for oxygen exchange. I had read on a local forum how during a hurricane a couple guys had their mp40 on backup and had a bunch of dead livestock despite the mp40 coming on. It will run at a very reduced flow rate. You get flow but no real oxygen exchange if the mp40 is too low. The guy was actually TOTM around 2005 here. 2 guys actually had dead fish, so its not just a fluke.
