Cree DIY for my 3 gal SPS dominated Pico
I have a 3 Gal JBJ pico.
I would like to build a little cree setup, but i cant seem to find the right amount of lighting for my tank. i would like to get mostly sps, but also zoos, acans, and other lps so i am looking for a light that makes the coral glow. Any suggestions would be nice. Thanks

for a three gallon nano you wouldnt need a whole lot.
If you went with 4-6 daylight and a blue ratio to your taste it would likely be all or more than you need in something that small. You dont really have a lot of ground to cover. Get optics to disperse the light a bit and put it up a tad higher. I have one of those nuvo 8 gallon AIO tanks as a side toy with the "crappy" light that comes with it. I say Crappy because it's definitley not anywhere on the high end, but it's still more than enough to run with LPS. And the daylights in it are only 1 watt IIRC. If you used a few 3 watt daylighters you are getting quite a bit more light. Add an equal or higher ratio of blues and you've got it made.
