Spotted mandarin goby

Hi everyone,
I was at the lps today and saw a bunch of spotted mandarin Goby's that had purple skin instead of the usual green. I was just wondering if this is a different species or if they were sick thanks

I know ora was crossing red and blue mandarin, but that would not be the spotted ones. Would like to see a picture of that one. Probably the lighting though.

EDIT: Actually, the one pictured at LA is more purple than green...

I would probably guess its more lighting than anything but not sure. Both of mine are green and I have yet to see any that looked remotely like that picture from LA...but I guess anything is possible.

Thanks guys I know it wasn't the lighting as it was under one daylight bulb. It was more purple then the one on live aquaria but I don't have any pictures unfortunately.

ok, so I am home today and I took a look at my pair. Oddly enough they look more on the purplish side during the day when all the lights are on. I typically see them only under blue lighting which makes them appear more green in color but they are definitely looking more purplish, not to the extent of the LA picture though.

You sure it just wasn't another type of dragonet....both the green and spotted are very similar....the green one is purple, and the spotted is green.
