Questions about meds on QT...
So today I recieved my meds in the mail. I got PraziPro, ParaGuard from Seachem and Melafix.
My questions are as follow: Can I use PraziPro and Paraguard at the same time? If I cant use them at the same time, would I need to do a water and filter change before using the other one or do I need to change the entire 10G of the QT? Even if I dont see the fish with ich or sick can I med for prevention or even to get rid of anything not visible??? Has anyone used Melafix from API for open red sores, fin and tail rot, open body wounds or body slime? My QT is a 10G with a Penguin 350 with bio wheels and floss. At the moment 2 clown fish are in there and have been there for a 1 1/2 weeks showing no sign of ich, desease or illness. I already looked at the QT stickes and saw all the methods on how to do QT but didnt find anything about meds so thats why I need your help. TY in advance...

I don't like to mix meds either. The mfg of PP says that the PP is less effective when combined with many other meds.
IMO & IME; Paraguard is not much of a treatment for anything and Melafix is less than that. Products like Melafix, "organic" miracles that claim to do everything, never do anything well. The only med that will cure ich is copper (maybe quinine based malaria drugs, but I haven't tried them). Tank transfer is, IMO, the best way to treat or prevent ich. The reason meds aren't mentioned much in the stickies is simple: except for copper, none of them work. To answer your question: I think using tank transfer and Prazi-Pro on all new fish is an excellent way to prevent many problems; safe & easy too. If you need some help with all the maladies you list for the Melafix; I'd post specifics in the disease section. BTW; good move on getting and using a QT! Its a shame more folks don't make this small investment, most will regret it.
