Do you remove molts (if they are in reach)?
Must have been a molt party these weekend, my coral banded shrimp, one emerald crab, my porcelain crab, and 2 hermits all molted.
First time I had seen the emeralds or porcelain molt, did give me a bit of a fright! I always have left the molts in the tank thinking the calcium ect will just go back to the tank.... But I have a 10 gallon and 5 molts since friday.....not gonna be too much you think, or yes? (everything is completely healthy, actually moreso than I thought, I just found palys and zoas in the back I didn't know I had that have been growing from other colonies) Last edited by ReeferKimberly; 08/19/2012 at 05:51 PM. |

Nope, didn't dose or change anything. I have a lot of crabs though. I REALLY like crabs. Probably just as much as I like coral (that's probably a good thing). There are 3 zebra hermits, 3 blue legs, and 2 orange-red hermits, 2 emerald crabs, 1 porcelain, 1 pink emerald and the shrimp. So this was less than half molting. I think it was just a coincidence. All I did was a regular water change and that was after the molt party (or halfway through)
