Panorama Pro Modules with Nano - Semi DIY
Looking for a little guidance and sanity check...
I've been researching LED options to fulfill the current need on my power compact lit 24Gal JBJ Nano Cube. But, I also want something easy enough to potentially migrate to a ~55 gal frameless, that I've been contemplating. Would like something modular, slick looking, and controllable. I landed on the Ecoxotic Panorama Pro LEDs. They have a really nice fixture with several mounting options. And the LED strips, themselves, are modular with different color combos available. Of course, a little DIY work is needed to fully control ramp up/down with something like the Reefkeeper Lite. For now, I'm looking at getting the following: 1x 12000K 19w panorama pro LED module 1x 445nm blue / magenta combo LED module 1x Lighting controller for my Reefkeeper lite 1x panorama pro 3-way splitter for the modules - one extra plug for expansion 1x panorama pro extension cable which I can splice and connect to the dimmable LED driver 1x Meanwell ELN60-24D dimmable LED driver I was pretty much going to wire it up like this: http://www.ecoxotic.com/community/wp...ium-Lights.pdf Although, to keep my cost of entry down as much as possible, I'm thinking of going with just one LED driver and not separate the blue and white LEDs just yet. I can do this in the future of course. And again, to keep the cost low, I wasn't planning on purchasing the fixture until I need it. I will just mount these two guys inside my hood. Does anyone see any issues with this configuration? Am I missing something? Thanks in advance for any help. Last edited by Jeffs_Reef; 08/23/2012 at 07:47 PM. |
