I used the A150's and was quite pleased with the lights. IMO they are good for higher light animals down to about ~14". Deeper than that and I think the A350 would be necessary to keep SPS down low. I have had no qualms with coloration of corals or growth. I replaced a 150W MH/PC fixture with an A150 and nothing skipped a beat although visually it was dimmer. Sorry I don't have before and after pics and those that I have are awful.

I have two a150w's over a 40 breeder. Only SPS I have is a green birdsnest and it is growing well (I have it high on a rock ledge). Some zoas do great while others just kinda sit there, but not sure if that is due to the light.
You may need more than 2 A150w over a 72 bowfront though for optimal coverage on a 4 foot tank. |

I think with careful placement that statement could be true. So much depends on rockwork and coral placement. I would take anything an LFS says with a grain of salt though.

My 120 under 2 A150 Sky Blues
And under two A350W at full power. It's not "quite" as blue in person but much bluer than the above pic.

The wide A150's cover quite well but at a cost in intensity. I had them mounted about 3" off the water line to help compensate for the depth of my tank.

The first pic is the A150's ~3" above the water. The second pic is two A350w's ~5" above the water. Sorry meant to edit "wide" out of that last post. I see where the confusion started.

I have two on my 40 breeder. The tank has been up for less than a month. The coverage is excellent, and I love the color of the A150w 15k. Here are a few pics and a video. The lights look much bluer than they actually are...phone camera

Looks good. Glad you are happy with them. Do you still think you will need a third?

this is random but HELP!!! I got a ocellaris clown fish about 3 weeks ago. I put him in a 55 gallon tank with a blue devil damsel and 3 stripped damsel and a two stripped damsel, of course the blue devil gave him a hard time and he was so stressed that at one point i thought he would die but its week three and hes still alive. is he too stresses to add another clown so they can pair?
