Green Slimer developing purple tips. Good or Bad?

Hi.. I have had a green slimer for years now. Has been doing really well. I went on vacation last week, and when I came back I noticed some of the tips are turning a bright purple color. Has anyone seen this before or know what it is?

Never seen it but sounds cool. In my experience, purple is usually good in a reef.

If it's actually pigmentation of the tissuethen that would be a sweet looking green slimer, IMO. If it's something growing on it, then I would be worried. DO you have any pictures?

How much deeper would the ocean be if it didn't have sponges?
