My Reef Tank 60g Cube

Been into aquariums for last 30 yrs, but for the last 10 did not have a salt/reef setup. Been as of late into breeding Angels and Discus with great success. But here is our 60gal Cube.

30" tall stand w/canopy
Lighting: Alpha LED 120W and 3- 12" Ecoxtic Stunner led strips 6w each strip and also 3w moon light

Filter: Over flow box w/ ECO- Fuge sump can fltr up 240G. 20lb live sand in sump and 40lbs live sand in tank. 75lbs live rock I got bigger fuge in order to grow into a bigger tank later.

Fltr socks: 200 micron socks, I change out every week

Htr: Fluval E-series 200w

Skimmer: ASM G-Series G1X

Pump: Danner Mag drive MD12-1200 flow rate

Circ pumps: 2 Koralia 1050

Has been up and running since March with great success no coral loss, but did lose some cycling fish at around the 4th/5th week.

Sump is plumbed into adjacent hall closet as it would never have fit under stand. So added a exhaust fan, and cooling fan. The pic of tank is just after 1st fill and just live rock. The Urchin skimmer was not what I thought it was going to be, and got rid of it later.

Will add more pic's later as I reached limit.....it is a great looking tank and all our friends/family always go straight to it and just love looking at it...

There is now much more sea life in it and doing fantastic. I do 50% water changes every 3weeks, use WM Calxmax Bi-ionics A/B, Chemipure, Purigen, and Tropic Marin salt w/ RO only.

^^^^^^^

Thanks......Yeah we have been really glad that it's going good...here's more pic's

The pic with the old sump as you can see is small, but worked good. I just want a better control and upgraded to the big sump for a good result in water care.

I'm building a 60g cube. What brand is your stand and canopy?

That rock work ROCKS !

Love the way the sump is plumbed to the closet. I have my 36 cube plumbed thru a wall to closet in living room where I also keep supplies and a 40 plumbed thru wall to a bathroom where I also have my Two DI buckets.

That is going to be one ...
