Assuming the tank is big enough for the both of them, the aggression should subside given time. Just be patient.

CB is an aggressive fish. its very normal for fish to be territorial and run other fish off. i would give it a few days and meanwhile place a mirror beside the tank for coral beauty to look at and be aggressive to its image.

thanks it seems to have gotten better I left the light off for a few days rearranged all the rock to where the coral beauty stays on one side and the royal gramma "house" is on the other but if the CB sees him he always has to harass him but I'm adding 20 more lbs of rock this weekend to give the gramma more hiding spaces and hopefully that will help too lots of caves and cracks only he can fit in it seems to be working so far but it kills me the cb doesn't even look at my 2 clowns funny at all it's weird how he only picks on the gramma

My beauty was a total bully in a 29g. Later moved him to a 40breeder and it was day and night. I suspect a combo of territory change plus extra swim room. He zooms all day long and even became quite friendly. In sort of a hyperactive I can't sit still for a second way. Lol. I found food was strongly tied to aggression. When stuffed he was far calmer. Let's just say the clean up crew had a job and a half. In any case the bigger tank move worked for me.

My royal gramma is also a beast I actually bought a angel to keep it in check. I always wanted one. And the gramma gave me a excuse. They don't really fight now that the gramma isn't the biggest one. The turf war eventually ended. Landscape change did help.

This just sounds like normal pecking-order stuff; our fish don't come from a friendly place. most fish learn their place quickly.

they don't really fight but the angel is just a bully he chases the gramma until the gramma hides in one of his holes he's got I have the tank full to the top with rocks so there are tons of caves and holes for him to hide in they do okay until they meet in the middle then the chase is on the gramma just sits there lets the angel kinda push up against him then the angel will leave and the gramma with swim around again it's weird but I'm hoping it will stop soon if not I may have to move one to another tank but as long as they are eating and not actually fighting I hope we will be alright

How big is your tank exactly? 29 gallon? The aggression should die down given time, but those dimensions seem a little tight for both the fish IMO. If they're constantly running into each other, you know there's going to be some static.
