DeepBlue Solarflare LED Aquarium Lighting

Hello all,

I am looking for anyone who has tried the DeepBlue Solarflare LED lighting. The coloration doesn't seem that great for corals, however I was looking to use it on a planted aquarium system.

I can't seem to find any post, youtube videos or any information other than the factory info on the web.

This is weird, for the price i figured more people would of tried these LEDs, i can't seem to find a single person! so weird!

They remind me of the marineland and odyssea fixtures. They spotlight, aren't very powerful, and are actually expensive for what you get. The leds used will fade coral color over time.

You would want something closer to 6500k for a planted tank as well. Plants need more spectrum than what these white and blue leds provide.

i have used deep blue lights before, but they were t5's, nothing but junk kept burning out. blowing circut boards, and service was down right horrible. but have not seen the LED's

I'm using the 48" version of this LED and have been for a few months. I think they look great and my coral growth is still great. Now that has something to do with my spot feeding too I realize but I'm happy with this light so far.

I use it on a 90 gallon...all LPS & softies. I so however have a couple of SPS near the top and they seem to love it too.

Probably wouldn't recommend for a serious SPS tank.

I used the 5 LED bulb solar flare on my refugium for several months, and now, over a small 6 gallon planted freshwater tank, and it's performed adequately. It can grow Chaeto, Gracilaria and Caulerpa Prolifera efficiently, and I'm having similar results over my freshwater.

I wouldn't use it for corals/inverts that are more light demanding than mushrooms/ricordea, or, polyps however.
