Tomato clowns fighting, help

Yesterday I bought an rsm130 with 4 tomatoe clowns, 1 green carpet anemone (with a crab in it) from a guy in my town.

Today the anemone started rolling around the tank and the crab fell out (and died from the clowns attacking it)

After that I noticed some fighting among the clowns.

I also got a 18 liter nano tank with a red spoted gobie, 4 turbos and a couple of bristleworms.

So my question is, will the gobie and snails be fine if I put two of the clowns in the small tank?

I know its too little for them in the long run so i'm either returning them to the store or switching them for something else the store might have.

4 clowns are too many, especially with tomatoes, they will pair up & then thin the herd until they are the only survivors. Take 2 back to the store keeping the largest clown & another clown much smaller than the other so you will end up w/ a male & female.

Thanks, im doing just that. My current problem is, 2 of the tomatoes are in a bucket with water. im either returning them to my rsm or putting them in my nano with my gobie and snails.

Will the clowns attack the gobie and turbos?

And make a plan quick for getting them out.

Maroons are one of the more aggressive clown species - and that is what - a 5 gallon tank? The need at least a 30 gal tank.

You should return them to whomever sold them to you. Very irresponsible for them to give you 4 clowns for one tank. RSM130 is - 34gal?

If you have placed them in the nano - they will probably beat up whatever you have in there - then turn on each other. Simply too small of a space and too aggressive a fish.

If the seller is not going to take them back - get in touch with a local SW shop and see if they will. Then - never buy from the seller again.

check to see where the clicking is coming from. if from inside the tank you might have a mantis or something in the tank.

+1

If the clicking is coming from your tank (get close to the glass after you've turned the lights out for a while and listen), then you got yourself a little mantis buddy. They love to pound away on your rock making tunnels at night (or your snails and hermits too).

If you do have one, it might be tough to catch. They do sell traps for them though. Once caught if you have an acrylic tank handy, I would suggest keeping it. They can be pretty cool to watch, as they're very smart and have some of the most advanced eyes in the world.
