emerald crab living with anemone

I have an emerald crab that has recently been squeezing in between the anemone and the rock. It does this to both my large green bta and small red bta.

He does pick at the green bta from time to time though. I've noticed him pinching the tips and eating the small portion he pulls off. Should I be concerned about thus? I would assume the anemone doesn't appreciate it.

too bad. I really like it. Guess it'll be living in my refugium indefinitely...

Maybe a porcelain crab or even an anemone porcelain is a better way to go.

emerald crabs should be eating algae and debris off of the rocks, when they turn to bad things to eat they should be removed and replaced. I have 4 and they rock for clean up. If you want an anemone crab, porcelains are awesome

My emerald use to stay on my Cali tort during the day. They find where they feel safest during the day then roam around at night. But I'd you see damaged tentacles then you should remove that crab, maybe try another that hopefully doesn't have the same habbit.

Stupid question and don't mean to hijack, but will wrasses, (Melanarus), mess with porcelain crabs?

Kyroblaze, yeah that dude needs to be SUMPPED! Mine is about twice the size of that one now and has been in the sump for about a year. I really need to get a few small ones as I've got an outbreak of bubble algae. But I hated going through catching that SOB. From the looks of it you won't have any trouble catching that one.
