A good capable lighting system and fish poo will feed the corals just fine. I wouldn't do anything extra to feed them.

I target feed many of my soft corals, including frogspawn, hammer and torch. I find they like a good, meaty meal now and then.

What exactly - also when and how - do you feed them (frogspawn and torch)? Last edited by ReefWhoDat; 10/18/2012 at 09:04 AM. |

AZOX Coral food is awesome! I bought some yesterday and it's like fish crack LOL....I noticed when I pumped that stuff in there, you could see the corals taking it in or reaching out for some. Here's a vid I found on Youtube that convinced me to buy it:

Here's a photo of the long feeding tube I use to feed corals and some of my fish:
Use an inch or so of soft airline tube to attach a length of rigid airline tube to a common syringe like you purchase to medicate infants. On the other end is another piece of soft tubing so it's gentler on the coral. Thaw your frozen food such as mysis or enriched brine shrimp in a cup and draw it up into the syringe. I also use it to target feed a couple of the fish that are more timid eaters. This is a very efficient feeding tool.

Great idea, I was looking at the syringes at work and thinking could use them to draw up any weird stuff floating around, but feeding works too!
