custom tank pricing
Hello,
anyone have a guide on the glass thickness needed for different tank dimensions ? Im designing a new large tank (400 + G) and emailing the manufacturer, I see the price changes dramatically when I change size by a couple of inch ... [I am guessing cause they can use a thinner glass for it] so was wondering if anyone has a guide I can use to find the best fit dimension for the place and my pocket ? I think the manufacturer is getting mad at me asking for 10 different quotes daily :P thank you, and if not okay to discuss prices, let me know. |

your crazy, I think it would be more cost effective to try and squeeze as many cuts into a single pane of glass. I dont know, what is the normal size of a glass pane 4x8?
I think you should just give me the overstock from your 200g and save yourself the trouble

I just priced a 96 X 36 X 30 tank.
Went with .75 glass over acrylic. Weight was with in 150 pounds becaused thinner glass could be used. 3 sided Starfire was 2/3 the cost of acrylic.
