hairy mushroom nightmares?

hi all

2 or 3 weeks ago got a hairy green shroom. love it! but in the couple weeks i've had it, it must be loving my tank way too much because it is getting huge! then i started reading about hairy shrooms taking over tanks, so i got worried. so...i moved it from it's happy place to inside my cave. lower light, less flow. i really like where it's at. i'm hoping it will too. just not so much that it keeps growing so fast. do you think this will keep it under control? i really don't want to take it back.

also, i've read ricordias are much slower growers, and i have two rocks picked out. does anyone know how true it is? i really love the colors but i don't want them taking over either.

I have both. It's all about light, flow and of course, params. I have found that both my hairy mushroom and my ric's love a little nitrate. The hairy mushroom has doubled in size, but it hasn't split. My ric's split every 3-4 months or so. IMO they are a little faster growing than the hairy mushrooms but stay small. Their vibrant colors make for a popular choice in my tank
