2 pistols, 1 goby
Long story short, when I got the first pistol, it was so stressed from shipping that it lost both its claws in the bag. I acclimated and never saw it again.
Figuring it didnt survive, I purchased a goby/shrimp pair from Divers Den a couple of months ago. Boy, was I surprised when I saw this (sorry for the poor quality phone video) http://youtu.be/c4vFqCnY0JM

I have only seen the 2nd pistol a couple of times, and was very lucky to catch it on video.
I am kinda surprised more people havent commented, I thought having 2 pistols sharing a burrow was pretty unusual.

Thanks for the video. I am suprised to find they can grow a claw back, or change snapping claws if one gets lost.

Some people have mated pistols with a goby, or a mated pair of gobies (foursome). Not common, but not unheard of. Always cool.
Crabs and shrimp can regenerate lost limbs through molting.

So does it have to be male and female pistol shrimp to work? Would they fight if it's the same sex?

Awesome video!! I love goby/pistol combos. I'd get one for my tank if I wasn't considering getting rid of it.
