QT Questions

I have been doing some research on what to do when a fish is in a QT tank and have thought up a few questions.

- Does 6 to 8 weeks sound like the right amount of time to QT?
- Do I medicate and if so with what?
or
- Do I just observe the fish for any signs of problems and only medicate when needed?

My last question is with the AquaClear 50 HOB filter for my QT.

- Can I just place the sponge anywhere in my DT’s sump for 4 to 6 weeks to seed it?

i usually do 2 weeks of prazipro and then observe for next 4 weeks. if there is a problem then medicate accordingly.yes u can place the sponge in ur sump and let it get seeded for about 2-3 weeks.
