help with possible pest

Evening everyone,

I know I know....I should have dipped but I was in a rush and since I bought this from a reputable LFS which I trust, and the item was in store for about 6 months, I thought I would be ok. I think I got the short end of the stick on this one.

I picked up this killer chalice, but am now seeing these itty bitty red specks on my glass. They can move extremely fast, and I'm not sure on a identification. I've got brown flatworms in the tank, and they are much smaller than those. When I say a speck, I can't even catch them on camera.

Possible Red Bugs or something else?
Anyone have any thoughts?

Here is the chalice which they came in with, which is the only piece added in months.
