ordered 120 g saltwater tank, wants to know next steps and fishes
Hi, I live in Pune, India ( So getting diff in reaching to good online websites of US)
and purchased a 4 feet width, 27 inches hight, 24 deep ( 100-120 gallon water), dealer got tank at home, thrown 5-6 KG salt, 10 kg sand , as of now he has attached some filter to rotate the water, in 2-3 days he planns to add, sum or sump( m nt sure) and some skimmer. i have added only one black and yellow clown fish Now i like to know, what all i needed next in terms of rocks( which one , how much i shall start) what are corals, when to to buy, is feeding them very diff task what kind of fishes, how many , how to add ( i Like to add medium price and peace ful fishes for happyness of my 6 yr old daughter) what kind of food types, HOW TO FEED what kind of cleaning tools, maintanance rules and steps, light types. i Have spent around $ 350 on setup and $100 on stand via sone local shop, I had two ft 40 G fresh water fishes before and I was not very good in recycling the water. I will be thankful if some expert can help me with Indian context Thanks Abhi |

Do you know about cycling? From your post it doesn't seem like your tank has been cycled yet.
You should get at least as many pounds of rock as you have gallons of aquarium. You can do either all live rock or a combo of live and manamade rock where the live rock will seed the rest.

Your fish will probably not make it if you have not done a cycle. This being a fishless cycle of at least 4-6 weeks with saltwater, sand and rock.
All of your questions cannot be answered simply. There are a bunch of sticky posts on this forum that you need to read.

Also, what kind of water source do you have? The fail safe is to get an ro di for making saltwater. Again, your going to have a bacteria bloom and cycle especially after you add rock. I would take the fish out
