Noisy Sump
I seem to have a lot of air coming out of my drain pipe. Any advice on how to quiet this thing ?

I put mine as low in the water as possible, leading directly into a piece of rock.

Air is noisy. A drain running at full syphon is dead silent. Search "Herbie" here to find the path to correcting the noise problem.

As a side note, noisy with lots of air bubbles will help aerate your water and stabilize the pH. That's why I forced myself to get used to my somewhat noisy sump. =) After a while it just sounded like a burbling brook to me.

Extend the pipe below the surface of the water
