bleached zoa?
So I have a zoa set that the shippers told me was Green Apple. However, when I look at it, it looks yellow. There has also been several new heads that have grown out of it and the new heads are the same color as the old heads.
Does this mean it is bleached from too much light before it came into my tank? I have other zoas up that high in the tank and they look correct. |

If you could supply a photo of the coral it may help out in identifying your issue. Doesn't sound from the description you provided that it is 'bleached'. Look forward to seeing the photo though!

That does look green to me. Especially in the first pic.
When buying online, you may or may not get the same colors as the pics. It happened to me before, hence one of the reasons I dont buy online |

well ya, I am going to have to stop buying online... it was just this was a free frag that I got if I spent 1$ in their online store. Then I ended up buying more because I thought this was such a good deal.... now 100$ later I just have this one frag that is yellow ( your colors in your monitor might be off ) and in the main for next day shipping the other zoas that originally arrived doa that are being replaced

Nope. My monitor is fine. I can see yellow and green and they look completely different.
What kind of lights are you using? Lighting can make a huge difference in how the color looks to our eyes. |

ya maybe it is my tank lighting.... I have seen several zoas change color under different lighting.
However, I have other zoas that have yellow in them, like Rastas, and I can see them just like normal same with all my other frags. But my lighting is Kessil 150w Ocean Blue |

Hmmmm I dont see a Kessil making a green zoas look yellow.
I was thinking maybe you had MH or T5s in the 10-12k range. Those can make alot of corals look brown or yellow. |

Leaving work and just looked at the image that I uploaded on my phone and I can see why u said they look a little green but mainly they are yellow.
Perhaps it is just a stress reaction from the shipping |
