sand shifting goby and DSB???

do they really create a significant negative effect to a DSB?

please share your views.

They don't care where they drop the sand after sifting and the will create a home for themselves but even with that I love mine, he keeps the sand bed nice and clean...

In short, they eat the microscopic clean up crew that lives in the substrate.

I don't recommend one unless you have a long established tank. I had one and loved it but also had my tank setup for over a year. I have a fairly new tank (7 months) that I tried one in and it perished.

Do you know what caused it? Mine eats food just like my other fish as well as cleans the sand bed....

Mine eats food like the other fish too...and sifts. It is hands down my favorite inhabitant , well worth the mess.

Hated mine. Dumped sand all over my rocks and coral. They are cool in other people's tanks, IMO
