auto top off question

I have an apex and no auto top off because my osmolator broke. What items are needed to add on to the apex for a decent auto top off setup?? And how exactly is it done?

Depending on how your ATo is setup( with ro di or stand alone) ,i would still suggest a dedicated control loop like the Osmolator or Avast.
You can then have a high level safety switch override from the APEX for maximum reliability and safety.

Best auto topoff system I have used is the apex, Neptune I/O breakout box, and a digital aquatics dual float switch kit. It has been flawless! I have one float in the water reservoir as a low water cutoff switch to prevent the pump from running with no water in the reservoir. One float switch as the trigger to add water to the tank and last float switch as a high cutoff switch in case of a stuck float. You can skip the last float if you have a salinity probe and just program to shut off the auto topoff pump if the salinity goes low. My opinion...but I love the apex system and won't look back coming from a reef keeper .
