Anyone got a Tunze 9002?

Im struggling with mine,
It doesnt seem to produce much skimmate and then stops working and needs dissasembling cleaning every couple of weeks.
Ive got to say Im very dissapointed with the overall build quality, I can only think that there is something wrong with it. Any hints?
One thing I would like to know, Is the clear plastic elbow supposed to restrict air flow?

I was having issues with mine as well but I was able to fix it. I bought it used and I did the airline modification to it for easier air adjustment. I didn't notice that the way I ran the airline restricted air flow to the venturi which was causing my issues. I recommend you to clean the skimmer with a distilled vinegar and water mixture. 4:1 ratio of vinegar to water. Let the skimmer soak and let the pump run as well in the mixture for like a day. This is what I did. Also make sure you do the airline mod for easier adjustment and make sure your airline isn't getting kinked or crushed. This is very important for the skimmer to operate properly. Also make sure the skimmer is within the correct height of water, this is also important. Any questions or help, feel free to ask or PM me.
