Could use an ID
I have these brown/black spots, they seem to be expanding but ever so slowly.. (nvm the bubble algae..)
I have looked real close, no bubbles or strands appear to be coming from them, no idea what it is... They are abit more brown than these pictures may appear, at least under my full lighting.

I don't think it lobophora; lobo looks more like this
http://www.botany.hawaii.edu/ReefAlg...0variegata.htm If it a burgundy that's hard to come off which what I think it is, then it's just part of Coraline algae growth. Beware if it's slimy and easy to come off, then it cyano. |

I think Cloak has it. Its brown no red in its colour except when it covers coralline as the purple colour comes through. I have quite a few spots, i scraped this stuff off my hob return ramp and now I have brown spots popping up all over...
Tank is too small for a naso, or an urchin.. might give H202 a try...
