Kenya tree coral

I have had a 15 gallon biocube for around three years now, and have maintained a healthy small reef system. I have a kenya tree coral which has been growing well and healthy for around 5 months. It recently shriveled up like it does at night usually, and has not come out. Some of its branches are coated in a shiny clear residue. I have recently added two bumble bee snails and two dwarf hermit crabs, though they don't seem to be bothering the coral and i see no reason why they would.
Any tips or information would be highly valued.

They can do that for a few days. How long has it been?

No worries. These corals are almost bulletproof. The shedding is just a normal part of the growth process.

I had a few kenya trees survive my cycle. I think the only way to kill them is take them out of water, burn them and bury the ashes away from water.

such a true statement!!

OP.. I'm with the others.. normal shedding.. getting ready to get bigger on you!

You can even cut off pieces with a razor.. start a new kenya.. and sell to LFS or other reefer!

Have Fun!!

Mine just keeps reproducing by dropping it's limbs everywhere in my tank and starting elsewhere, there like a weed.
