Cloudy Water

I had the problem of cloudy water when I first started keeping a saltwater tank back in September. At that time I was mixing in 5 gallon buckets. I was able to obtain 30 gallon food grade barrels and thought it would help and be easier to have it premixed and ready to warm to temp when I needed it.

I posted in this forum and had some suggestions. I was told RO had to be room temperature and slowly adding the salt while a large pump is in the barrel mixing. I still seem to have the problem, and at this point do not know what I'm doing wrong. I'm using IO Reef Crystals in the 5 gallon bucket so thats its sealed and the salt is nice and dry.

As I was sprinkling the salt in the barrel the water seemed to be clear, but after 30 minutes I went over to check on it and the water is cloudy. The pump I used was caked in salt from the last barrel full of water I mixed.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Thanks!
