what is a good method for replenishing trace elements & raising calcium?

all depends.. I would start with water changes.. but before that.. why don't you tell us your situation?? water params? tank size? corals? whats going on?

Water changes typically take care of trace elements. If it is a well established reef, the "reef crystals" salt would be a stronger dose of trace elements.
As far as calcium goes........water changes will stabilize it but it depends on how much calcium your tank needs. Lots of stony corals?
