ID on freebees

I ordered some algae from an Island company out west, further than Cali...

These came as freebees.... Can you identify them for me so I can make sure my parameters will be good for these fellows, thanks:

#1

#2

#3

I have another one that looks like a mushroom with about 50+ little fingers off of it. Ill get that picture later.

Ohh this is what they were called:

2 types of Candy Cane coral, Caulastrea sp.

Kryptonite (neon) CC

Fiji CC

But I do not know which is which... Hummm

The green would be the Kryptonite, I would assume.

HAHAHA... All three have green in it....

Are you picking on me? It is not like they are tribbles or anything.

The LPS is candycane/trumpet coral (Caulastrea furcata?).... The soft coral might be a toadstool leather.

The last picture is the kryptonite. The other one is a tan/green. Once they get comfortable they'll expand.

Yes
#2 is candy cane Coral
and #3 is kryptonite...

I found better pics and with your help ID'd those. (thanks)

Now the toadstool (??)

Hard to see but when I jump back and forth between the two on the same screen (they are almost in the same position) you can see the toadstool has relaxed some before the others came out.

Well, the trouble with tribbles...
I meant the all green CC was Kryptonite.

looks like two toadstool leathers, the green ones are usually called green polyp toadstool leathers (original name, I know) and there are a few different color variations out there. the others are candy cane (or trumpet coral), with two different color variations. the ones that are all green (aka do not have the brown ring around the green mouth) are sometimes called neon green candy cane, kryptonite, or some other fancy name for bright green. All of these are good entry level corals. Enjoy!

Yeah that is what I thought.. I had looked them up and even "search"ed the forums here...

I was just making sure... Some of the threads did not necessarily have pics.

Nice little items for freebees... That is the good thing about a lot of the providers on here and some others. Get to a certain price level or even ask... "What freebees do you have this week?"

Definitely great little freebies. Free is always the best price! haha.

I will have to start asking to see if anyone has any the next time I do an order.
Enjoy

It took the video 2 hours to in-code. WOW...

It is about 11 minutes... but WELL worth watching it from start to finish.

For those that have a fast connection (or dont mind buffering for others) click on the gear and change the quality to high def.

Much better.

At the end I was playing with my LED's and the camera, I guess, did not want to show the true color, strange looking.

SUSHI here is that video.... I told you.....

I pored a monster in with them. The boys had a few extra so I knew they would not miss them. Plus the sugar helped spike the bacteria to work more.

Granted the tank went up 5 degrees, I think from the bacteria working overboard, and the sump water level went up. They must have really been sweating.

***Disclaimer: I did not pour a monster energy drink in the tank. Please do not try it. ***
