I need a fuge janitor..

I have just recently introduced a beautiful mandarin to my system and would love to keep him a long long time. My fuge is a bit of a mess so I'm hesitant to put anything down there that would harm my pod population. When my fuge would get bad in the past I would throw my giant scarlet hermit down there and in a week it would be spotless. Since I started getting really into corals in the last few months I had to trade him in. He was a full time wrecking ball. Always made a mess of things in the DT. So now other than some giant turbos I have I don't have anything that won't snack on the pods while down there.

I'm thinking I might want something that I can switch back and forth that would move sand around as well. I have really white sand in the DT that I have a hard time keeping clean with ought my hermit. What critter would be a good herbivore and dig threw the sand bed??
