Led or MH upgrade suggestions for my 40 breeder
I am currently running a 6 bulb T5 over my 40 breeder, but I'm getting kind of tired of the limited options as far as color, dimmability, etc. Any suggestions as to an LED or MH upgrade that isnt to crazy cost wise, and will still be able to get good coverage over my tank? I keep mostly sps in all areas of my tank so thats my reasoning for good coverage.

There are a few diy led threads running around looks like itll cost about 300 to build a good 1 for sps

Limited color and dimming abilities? And you're looking at halides???
If you want dimming and all that then LED is the way for that. I don't recommend it at all. I tried them for 18 months and ditched them. All of my sps looked just so-so no matter what I did. Since switching back to T5s, colors are back and my growth is exploding! There are hundreds of color combos using T5s. You can go super sunny all the way to deep blue.
