Toadstool splitting?

I just got this cutting a couple of weeks ago I've already gotten it attached and it's just been growing like crazy but lately I noticed one edge of it has been staying closed and looks darker is it splitting or should I maybe move it?

Not sure. Keep an eye on that area. If you notice it getting darker or it appears to be dying you can cut that area out. The leather should heal itself nicely.
