Reefbrite LED actinic blue with Halides
Today I replaced my 2x39w T5 actinics (ATI Blue Plus) with SLR reflectors, with a single 30" (30W, 18 LED's) reefbrite LED blue and WOW. This BLOWS away my T5's. I'm running 175w for the time being and you can see it over the halides. When I switch back to my radiums it will be a perfect blend. I wanted to use VHO's, but my canopy wouldnt fit the 36" tubes. This thing fits PERFECT and took like 5 minutes to install. I have way more room now under my canopy to access the tank. I use it only for viewing (coral colors) and man I should have done this sooner. I do like that now my dawn/dusk has shimmer as well.
I was a skeptic about using LED's for actinic over halides and I'm now a believer. Anyone who is considering using LED for actinics, buy this unit, you wont be upset.

reefbrites are very good lights and pack a punch so be sure and acclimate your coral as you would with new bulbs.

Were these the XHOs or the Techs? I've got the 48" XHO on order at my LFS
