Lighting and mushrooms?
I changed my aquatic life stock bulbs to ATI bulbs and now my mushrooms don't open up. Are these bulbs little strong for them? I can raise them, thanks

If your bulbs were old then they might just be acclimating to the new light. New bulbs are brighter.

Right now they are adjusting, mushrooms are extremely resilient and it is very hard to kill them.
If they don't open up for a week then you can move the mushrooms down, they are a very low light coral, although they will accept high light as well. |

I have a lot of mushrooms in my tank. Every time I change bulbs I usually cut the light schedule back for a few days. When I forget the mushies shrink up and act all mad. They always come back srong after a week or so.

Yeah I think they're just shock with the new bulbs, love the bulbs though. I leave them be and hopefully bounce back.

They adapt well to low light. Just getting use to the stronger ATI.

I've found that none of my mushrooms like bright light. If I put them on the edges of the tank or underneath another rock structure they open up very nicely.

Yeah they shrivel right away once the white light turns on. I'll see how they do in a week.
