Return tubing

Folks,

Has anyone ever used this tetra tubing for a return? Its from the pond section but I figured it might be ok to use.

I also bought regular black vinyl tubing:

I'm pretty sure that the regular vinyl would work fine..but liked the possible flexibility of the corrugated stuff.

Thoughts on these?
