Bright Pink - Bubble Gum colored Zoas? What could they be?
Hi guys! I'm new to the site, but have been very interested in a lot of the rarer zoanthid breeds. I have a LFS that propagates a lot of their corals, and deals with a lot of zoas. Their prices usually reflect the breeds, but I did get a nice 20 polyp eagle eye colony for $30 there which started my curiosity and zoa purchases.
I then went to another LFS, that doesn't deal with a lot of knowledge or propagation with zoas. I happened to find these 3 little guys on a frag glued to a rock with other frags. They sold me the 3 polyps for $10...and Ive never seen a pink Zoa before. I checked the list stickied at the top of the thread, and I don't see anything like it (some are pink, but not like this with the ring). Im in the process of uploading pics. I did buy another zoanthid colony for $20, if anyone knows exactly what these are too Pics attached in message below. Thanks! Last edited by arsousa; 02/24/2013 at 10:56 AM. Reason: taking out mushroom post, adding other zoa |

The pink zoas look bleached, it'll take a while for them to recover and gain their color back.

yep bleached, try shading them a little till color starts returning so you can figure out the true look of that polyp.
