Return Pump
Hi,
Setting up an 750l tank with a 180l sump. How many l/hour should the return pump be? I see recommendations of 4 to 5 times the literate of the tank? |

pump and drain both go hand in hand. i cant recommend a pump unless i know what size drain/overflow u have. u can put bigger pump on it but if ur drain cannot handle the return then tank will overflow or u will have to dial pump down.
what size is drain? and size of bulkheads?

Sorry for not giving that detail the drain is 40mm.
Another question would also be whether someone can recommend an energy efficient make. I am looking at an aqua medic Eco runner 2700l/hr which only consumes 30w. if that is enough of a flow rate for this tank. |
