Ai sol custom housing
I have a 150g tank (6'L x 26"h x 18"w) I am stumped .... contemporary home... I want to hang the lights on a bar 3 in succession . But for hanging the lights there is no way to hide the wires .... kinda silly .. has anyone run into this ... are there any ideas out there????

one more thing ... if i put the lights together .... do i need a power cord for each light ... or does the tandem cable carry power???

I just mounted 2 over my 46 gal. My wires just run down the back of the tank. They are about 10" above the tank. Yes you need a power supply for each fixture.

I built a little hanging housing for my Ais but havnt figured out a way to hide the wires yet

thanks dales reef ... thats kinda what i was thinking of doing ....
my tank is a peninsula tank..... and is between my dining room and living room .... ceiling white walls faux ... so i was thinking a brite white housing sort of the same shape as yours .... what did you make it out of and how high did you set it from the tank thanks in advance |

Its made out of mdo board its kinda like plywood and some trim thats about it
The light is hung about 10" above the water my 250 is 5' long and 3' wide the housing is 4' long and only 1' wide My house was over my old 160 witch was 4' long and 2' wide I havnt built a new one yet lol but it actually looks good Sent from my SPH-L900 using Tapatalk 2 |

thank you for the replies .... looks like im heading in the same direction .... i was thinking of powder coated aluminum and a conduit (running the power into the housing)

I'm building the furniture for my 180gl and I'm considering to construct a DIY canopy to accommodates my AI-Vegas. A canopy can hide anything. Still open for new ideas though...
