Asm g3 water level

Hey guys

where do you set your water level in your g3's? Mine is currently about 1'' above the bottom of the collection cup and I don't find it skims that heavily compared to others pics that I have seen. I can get a pic, if that helps.
Thanks.
Josh

Mine was set about an inch below where the collection cup mounts. Since changing to the gate mod, you can't really tell, but the water line still looks close to the same. When's the last time you cleaned the pump and venturi?

The entire skimmer was cleaned about 1 month ago. I have been running this skimmer for the past year and have never found any salt creep in the venturi line when I have cleaned it. I used to have the gate valve mod, but for some reason, it would run great for a few days, then overflow the cup. Tried it 3 times, then just went back to the stock setup. When you clean your skimmer cup, do you remove the tapered piece below the cup and clean it as well?
