How far along am I in my cycle?

My tank has been up and running for a little over 3 weeks with 120 lbs of lr and 120 lbs of live sand. I'm now seeing a ton of diatoms, they're all over the glass and live rock. But their still hasnt been an ammonia spike, and my nitrites and ammonia readings are still 0. So I was just seeing what your guys thoughts were?

Was your LR and/or Live Sand from an established tank? If so, you may not see a cycle. Did you add anything to the tank to start the cycle? Like live shrimp?
