Things I've learned....

Things I’ve learned, so far:
The least studious can really pull off the most amazing of tanks, and the most studious can really beckon disaster.

Fish stores want to sell, most of all, so it becomes the customer to be the expert. As healthy people are to the medical industry, so may be educated aquarists to the aquarium retail business.

Constructive objectivity can be rare in this hobby, but critique & passion are seemingly never lacking.

There’s balance between personal taste and practicality, be it neon pink gravel and a black light, or, a million flavors of reef junkie tank additives.

No matter where you go, there you are – to one it’s a “co-pod”, to another it’s a “co-co-pod”…

Classification of reef species is for the experts, sometimes...

Every tank is unique.

Some folks seem to do miracles with DIY anything, and others can do nothing with the most expensive gadget.
The first and the last keep me up at nights...

As to the first comment.

I've always found, IME, that our tanks do so much better if we would just leave them alone. Short of basic maintanence and cleaning, and the adding of a 2-part.

How much deeper would the ocean be if it didn't have sponges?
