Fairy Wrasse

I bought a Fairy Wrasse two days ago. He has been doing extremely well, swimming around and eating Misces. He was out and about earlier today and when I went to feed the fish, he was no where to be found. I read somewhere that Wrasses will disappear for up to a week and re-appear? Just seems odd that my other new fish (tang) is swimming around and doing great.

I'm not sure about a week but they can go into hiding for a day or so at first. Fairy wrasses don't bury for the most part so he might be hiding under a rock or coral. Best of luck.

Yep I checked all around the tank and in back....nothing so that's good. Hopefully he's just hiding. He was swimming around with my Tomini Tang and just disappeared. I'm hoping he's pulling the same as yours Dozer1.

I have 200 lbs of live rock in my 120 so it was tough but i did manage to find his hiding spot after that week ( pre drilled hole in rock ). He'll pop out when hes use to the tank. I just added a blue hippo tang today and my yellow is kicking his *** i wish he would take some advise from my wrass LOL
