Blue tang + girl friend's Hair = trouble
Well as I'm looking at my tank my girl friend comes in the room and says there a piece of hair in the blue tangs mouth. its about 2" long and it looks like the blue tang tried to eat it and grabbed it right in the center. So i tried catching her but of course there was no luck. i tried reaching for the piece of hair when she wedged herself between the rock work and i couldn't grab it. So i pretty much gave up. i fed the tank and shes eating fine and acting normal. I'm preying the piece of hair will just get spit out or pass through. either way this sucks. i read some info about this subject and some people said it turned into a infection and killed the fish and others said it just passed. i hope this turns out ok. any insight to this? I'm upset, sad, and worried all at the same time :

Interesting.. I hope everything works out for you. Never thought about something like that happening. Now I'm going to be on the look out!

Blue tangs are not girlfriend-hair safe. Use w/ caution.

I ate some coral glue myself and I was fine (was trying to unstick a cap with my teeth...... dumb). The roof of my mouth was unpleasant and hard for a few days.
