Powerhead placement and flow question

I have a maxi jet 1200 as my return pump on my 24 gallon nanocube, but I don't like the amount of dead spots in my tank where there is no flow. I want to put the Hydor Flo Rotating Deflector on the return and add a Tunze nanostream 6015 but I'm not sure about a few things:

1) I know the deflector cuts down flow, but will the tunze provide too much flow?

2) Where would be the best place to put the tunze? I was thinking under the intake and shooting water towards the return.

Thanks!

Oh and I'll be keeping softies and LPS if that helps.

I wouldn't put the rotator on there. Just put a powerhead in. Have you looked at the hydor nano 425? For softies/lps it would be more than enough and has a nice small footprint in the tank.

I just noticed what model Tunze you were talking about. That should be fine.

Thank you! The more I read about the rotator the more negatives I see with it. I only mentioned the tunze because I hear more good things about it, but I saw the hydor nano 425 at my LFS and I realize what you mean about small footprint.

Do you think that might be too much flow?
