return pump suggestions please

Hi, I have a 46 gal. bow front, and am finally replacing my Eheim Wet dry canister with a 10 gallon sump. I will be running a Eshopps overflow (1-1/4") overflow but am not too sure what size return pump (GPH) to use... Head will be about 2' horizontal, 4.5' vertical and will have 2 90 degree angles.

Currently considering;
Tunze 1073.020
or
Eheim 1250

Definitely willing to consider other pumps if you feel strongly about them...

All opinions welcome, Thanx!

Ehiem is a great pump but what model Eshopps are you using i have a pf-1200 and it uses dual 1 inch drains

Overflow is a PF800.

Still thinkn one of these;
Tunze 1073.020
or
Eheim 1250
or
sicce 2.0

thoughts?

I would suggest either the Tunze or the Eheim. I have the Sicce and cant stand it. It will run along like a champ and then it begins to develop a loud hum in it. I have to cycle the power on it or deal with it and it eventually cures its self.

the 1250 is only 320 gph that may not be enough to keep a siphon on the overflow. If your box has 2 U-tubes you may have to use only one with that flow

The PF800 is a single tube siphon.

Regardless, Sounds like the Tunze 1073.020 is the ticket. Any other worthy candidates I havent considered?
