Eshoppes 120 cone Skimmer Overflow...

My skimmer acting normal considering the following: ?

My skimmer is the 120 cone skimmer and its brand new and installed on my newly set up system with just substrate and already washed Pukani dry rock.
(just cycling)

I understand skimmers need a break-in period just curious if it is normal for a skimmer to overflow during break-in? mine overflows constantly no matter the water depth or adjustment.

I always thought skimmer just could not produce foam during break-in then after they start to foam and produce skimmate. mine produces alot of foam!!! just all clear as no load on the system.

anyhow lemme know whats what, thank you.

Give it like 4 days to go crazy, then see if you can start to dial it in. You can run it in a vinegar bath to get any manufacturing oils off.

Welcome to Reef Central It is normal for your skimmer to do that some skimmers take 3 weeks to break in, you could remove the lid that may help.
