TDS errors
Just bought the SpectraPure® MaxCap 5 Stage RO/DI System 90 GPD w/ Pressure Gauge & Purity Monitors.
I seems to have been assembled on either on a Monday when the worker was dealing with a hangover or on a Friday where he was in a hurry to get off work and start partying. It arrived with one filter cap broken where the retaining screws fasten the filter to the top bracket and one tds meter had a loose display and would not show all segments of the digits. These issues have been quickly dealt with by the supplier. Thank you to the supplier. More importantly the left tds meter reads lower tds for tap water coming into the system {16} than water leaving the RO membrane {127}. Right side meter reads 0,0. Can someone post a photo of where the in and out sensors are supposed to be located? I think mine are reversed. I have emailed the supplier and am waiting a reply. Thanks |

I do not know how it is shipped, but if I had two dual meters, I would have:
#1: IN - connected to your source/tap water (to measure the TDS in source water) OUT - connected in line just before entering RO membrane (to get measure of TDS prior to RO reduction) #2 IN - connected in line just after the RO membrane (use this to ensure advertised RO's TDS reduction percentage) OUT - in line after your DI resin (finally, to make sure your product water is 0ppm on TDS) Also, make sure the two probes in the t-fitting are aligned perpendicular to the flow of water.
