Carbon directly in sock filter?
Would it be ok to put carbon (not in a mesh bag) directly in a sock filter?

You might be grinding the carbon up with the flow, probably not a good idea.

I think carbon is great but just to be safe I use way less than most and change it weekly. I have added it directly to my sock and unless you have one time use socks I reccomend putting it in a mesh bag. It gets stuck in the fibers.
