My 2 Part Dosing Info...
Hey guys & gals... figured I'd share my info that I use in my dosing requirements. Really easy, simple and cost effective to do. So if your into DIY, look up Randy Holmes Farley 2 Part here on RC. I've cut out the technical part and used pics.
What I use is Recipe 1 for low PH issue's.. you'll understand why if you research and read the article. Ingredients consist of 4lb Box of Arm & Hammer Baking Soda $2.99 local Bodega, Prestone Driveway Heat $8.99 @ CVS, 1 Gallon of ESV Magnesium Gotham Aquatics $??, measuring cups, a cookie sheet, a few 64oz jugs, RODI water naturally, tin foil, and an oven.. lol!! I preheat my oven to 300* for 15 min... in those 15 minute's I sift out my 2 1/4 cups of BS onto a cookie sheet and spread it out on the tin foil. Then I bake it for 1 hour. While that bakes for 1 hour, I get my Prestone Driveway Heat ready. I fill the 64 oz jug with RODI water and then measure out my 2 1/2 cups of Driveway Heat. This is 90% calcium chloride and find it better FOR MY USE. I pour the contents of the Driveway Heat into the proper labeled container and shake vigorously and then I'm done.. Time for making Calcium... 5 minutes. After the 1 hour is up for the Alkalinity Part, I remove the tin foil because it's easier to fold into a funnel and pour into the RODI water. But before I pour it into the container I just microwave the RODI water for 2 minutes to help make it dissolve better. Then pour, shake, and your done. These measurements will make 1 gallon of Alkalinty and 1 gallon of Calcium and should last you about 1 month or more depending on your tanks need. I then test and use the Reef Calculator to find my desired target range and dose accordingly!!!! The Magnesium Part, I just buy a gallon and added it to my system only when needed. your done!

Hey Nano... welcome and thanks for responding. Can I ask you why you dose Alk in your ATO?? Wouldn't that dilute the Alk. Unless your adding a concentrated Alk solution?

Please also make sure when you dose the pristine driveway heat that you keep up with regular water changes. I have experienced the other 10% of non purity needs to be expelled somehow or other compounds will begin to build in your system. Just my .02

Absolutely true... A++ Nottick. Randy's articles has mentioned some build up of impurities in a year's time without doing w/c's in his recipe's. However, I wouldn't see why anyone would go so long without one though.
